Group condemns alleged invasion of ANA National Secretariat by hoodlums led by Barr. Maiwada in Abuja

GROUP CONDEMNS ALLEGED INVASION OF ANA NATIONAL SECRETARIAT BY HOODLUMS LED BY BARR. MAIWADA IN ABUJA

Bring Back ANA Movement has condemned the recent invasion of the National secretariat of the Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA) allegedly by thugs and hoodlums led by Barr. Ahmed Maiwada one of the ANA Presidential Aspirants who recently appointed himself as the President of the Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA).

The Movement in a statement made available by Wole Adedoyin who is also the immediate past National Publicity Secretary (South) of the Association, described the action as disgraceful, barbaric and an assault on the reputation of the Association.

Adedoyin frowned at the alleged invasion of the ANA National secretariat by those he termed miscreants in the Association.

It would be recalled that ANA Board of Trustees on Friday through a letter addressed to ANA Advisory Council and all ANA Members across the country viewed with dismay the act of indiscipline of a deviant group led by Barr. Ahmed Maiwada which purportedly elected what it called a ‘new ANA Executive’ at Abuja on Saturday, March 7, 2020. ANA Board of Trustees described their action as unconstitutional, outrageous and further urged all responsible members of the Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA) to ignore them.

The ANA National secretariat was over-ran by a group of vandals and evil agents on Saturday led by Barr. Ahmed Maiwada who after unleashing terror and disrupting ANA Enugu elections, appointed himself ANA President and now invaded ANA National Secretariat carting away ANA vital documents and files.

The recent invasion of ANA Secretariat by these hoodlums have shown that the people involved are not only burglars, criminals but insurgents camouflaging in writers’ uniform to disrupt the peace and unity in ANA.

According to Wole Adedoyin, “It is sad that their desperation, their inordinate actions inflicted so much pains on some of us and caused violent and inconclusive election during our last national convention in Enugu. But rather than repent, they are still bent to do further damage to our dear Association. 

“They have deceived some of our people, arm-twisted them and now they are reaching for the jugular to do the final damage to our dear Association. We shall resist them; we shall stop them and liberate our Association.

Adedoyin finally urged the Board of trustees Members of the Association to immediately beam their searchlight on this latest crime perpetrated by these miscreants. We hereby call on the board of Trustees and the Chairman, ANA advisory council to give express instruction to Col. K.K Shaw, MD KMVL, the Developer on ANA land not to allow Ahmed Maiwada and his team of brigands and impersonators into the ANA property as they presently have no right or mandate whatsoever to do so.
